Bonita Clifton’s first loves were books, one being a dog-eared copy of The Wizard of Oz. Later, she devoured romance novels. She imagined a Wild West Show in a fun mountain town, a sexy cowboy from another era sauntering into the arena—scanning the audience, his gaze beckoning with a come-hither burn… Oh my, what to do?

Colton Chase was born, along with Bonita’s first time-travel romance. Published by Dorchester/Leisure, Time of the Rose became a 1995 HOLT Medallion finalist. Today, an updated Time of the Rose is a hit once again in its 2nd Edition: Book 1 of the Twisted Rose Saga series. The 3rd Edition is Coming Soon, with a new cover and a Special Edition hardcover version.

Bonita is a bestselling and award-winning author, writing time-travel, historical, and contemporary romance.

Bonita is “Mom” to four amazing adults and “Grammy B” to a growing family of grandchildren. Her favorite things (besides books) are dogs, horses, and bears, which usually find a way into her stories.

After spending two delightful years touring the United States in an RV, Bonita embarked on another adventure: traveling Europe, Africa, Oceana, and Asia while researching and writing. She is now settled in Wisconsin.
