Bonita Clifton’s first love was a dog-eared copy of The Wizard of Oz which she read at least a gazillion times. Later, she discovered romance novels and fell in love with Forever Amber (Kathleen Winsor) and all the Kathleen Woodiwiss novels. Time travel was a new genre and something that resonated with her creativity after reading Jude Deveraux’s A Knight in Shining Armor. Much later, while keeping up with four kids under the age of six, she somehow found the time and energy to pen her first time-travel romance, Time of the Rose, and it became a finalist for the 1995 HOLT Medallion (Romance Writers of America).

Today, Time of the Rose is a hit once again in its 2nd Edition, and part of the Twisted Rose Saga series of time travel romance novels. Bonita is a multi-award-winning author and also dabbles in contemporary, historical, and military romance, and writes under the the pen name of Sindee Harlow alongside her own macho hero, “story scholar” T.K. Rogers. 

Bonita is “Mom” to four amazing adults and “Grammy B” to a growing family of grandsons and (so far) one granddaughter. Her favorite things (besides books) are dogs, horses, and bears, which usually find a way into her stories.

After spending two delightful years touring the United States in an RV, and living in Yellowstone National Park for six months, Bonita and her hero embarked on another adventure: backpacking Europe and Africa while researching and writing. Some would say they are crazy. Others, however, enthusiastically follow their travels, enjoying entertaining and humorous stories, living vicariously, and even taking notes for their own future itineraries.
